Her skin is a translucent pale--almost unbelievably. Even more so as her body flows down to its arachnid half, her hips joining to the semi-transparent flexing chitin that displays the motion of fluids and tightening of joints obscured only by a tint of red. All eight of her eyes examine you, and you sense no hostility therein. Perhaps she has never seen an outsider in her young life. Framed by long and messy locks of dark hair, her face is inviting and cute. But this is not so--she lunges! {battle} ///Subsequent encounters. Rolls 1-4 mix of driderlings and red widow spiders (at least one driderling). Each level of difficulty above Normal raises the minimum roll by 1. Thusly, EXTREME rolls a group of 4 driderlings and spiders always, only the ratio of driderling to spiders being random. Skittering can be quietly heard in all directions, but it starts to get closer. You ready your [weapon] and tread more cautiously--there it is! A red widow driderling approaches[if (multiple enemies) {, and more in tow}]! ////Combat descriptions ///Red Widow Driderling (random gender) A juvenile drider stands ahead, crouched slightly and ready to pounce, making it hard to accurately estimate [monster.his] height, but you figure [monster.him] to be around [if (metric) {a meter|four feet}]. [monster.His] spider body is dark red and semi-transparent, showing the flow of blood and constriction of joints as [monster.he] slowly circles you, looking for an opening. Where a spider's head would be, there are instead narrow human-like hips, pale white, that flow up a youthful, undeveloped body. Despite [monster.his] obviously hostile posture, [monster.his] humanoid face is disconcertingly innocent, with all eight eyes examining you curiously. //STATS Agile compared to random swamp driders, but otherwise lower strength, toughness, and HP. Just a little armor. 50 corruption Relatively high lust resistance //Attacks /Bite. Armor-piercing, but low damage melee. Injects venom only the first time it hits, they have no venom left after. The driderling menaces you by raising [monster.his] front legs, but you don't back away, prompting [monster.him] to leap forward with surprising speed. [if (hit) {[monster.His] little body collides heavily with yours, and in the brief moment you're unsteady, [monster.his] face lunges for your neck, puncturing you with needle-like fangs![if (using venom) { [b:A horrible, burning sensation afflicts your body.]}]}] /Venom increases fatigue costs until cured and deals damage every turn. This effect stacks, medicine perk cures one venom at a time. This is the main source of damage driderlings do. /Bash. Low damage melee. Will not use if player is webbed (including by other monsters in battle) You wander slightly too close to the driderling, and [monster.he] flinches, swiping at your with one of [monster.his] legs. /Web. 5-turn cooldown, slows the player, can use at range and melee. The driderling circles you and then suddenly shifts [monster.his] spinneret in your direction, spraying sticky silk. /TEASE. Only used if lust is 50+. Very low effect, but higher for every stack of venom from either driderlings or spiders. The driderling looks confused and flushed. [monster.His] normally translucent white skin is flushed pink, and [monster.he] pulls [monster.his] arms together anxiously, [if (driderling is female) {pressing her tiny, otherwise flat breasts inward, unconsciously emphasizing them to you|his small childish penis twitching and throbbing}] as [monster.he] looks at you with desire. ///Red Widow Spider A red spider--a [i:big] red spider--creeps slowly in your direction. It may be nowhere near the size of a person, but it's at least as big as many house pets would be. Whenever you move closer to it, it raises its front legs and you can see the needle-like fangs of its chelicerae. The dark chitin is spotted with yellow dots, the pattern possibly being a way to distinguish one of these red widows from another. //STATS Same as a driderling's, but all stats lower besides speed. They're just cannonfodder. //Attacks /Bite. Armor-piercing, low-damage melee. Injects venom up to 3 times. Will prioritize biting if player is webbed The red widow leaps astonishingly far and fast at you! [if (hit) {Its little body lands with unexpected weight and momentum for its size, but you resist stumbling and jerk frantically to throw it off. Unfortunately, it sinks its fangs in before you knock it away, stinging the affected area fiercely!}] /Venom increases fatigue costs until cured, and deals very minor damage every turn. If stacked up to 3, non-TF-resistant players get a random spider TF(pink gossamer ones). /Web. 2-turn cooldown, slows the player slightly, melee only. The red widow skitters around you, trying to stay just out of reach before it attacks. You're on your guard, but instead of a strike, it sprays silk at your [legs]! ////Balance note: These fights are, as a group, as dangerous as a corrupted drider, but the low health and durability making them end before it gets too dicey. ////PLAYER WINS {refer to sex scene document} Loot: Black gossamer(common), tough silk (uncommon), widow dagger (rare) Widow dagger deals decent damage for a dagger, fatigues the target, less raw damage than the cursed dagger. It is starting to hurt to move, and you stumble forward. ///Health, with venom status The toxins in your body burn, and your limbs refuse to move. The thought of paralysis making you suffocate crosses your mind, but you continue to breathe even as you become otherwise immobile. ///Health, no venom Battered and bruised, you collapse, mind racing with what could happen next. //Merge all three Small, soft hands rub your head, feeling your [if (hashair) {[hair]|smooth scalp}]. You wonder, for a moment, if there is no danger from such a young drider, but then [monster.he] climbs on your body and sinks [monster.his] fangs into you.
