Trying to create covert Facebook Account

I have tried all the suggestions for creating a covert FB account with little luck. Facebook is requiring a photo ID. A co-worker was able to create one monday using the same techniques, but it is not working for me. Anyone else having this problem or have any suggestions?

Re: Trying to create covert Facebook Account

Some of the latest tips on FB account creation include:

Do not use a VPN
Sign up using a gmx.us email account (https://www.gmx.com/)
Use the mobile version of FB to sign up (https://m.facebook.com/)
Select the Female gender

Once the account is set up, be sure to post content to your profile on a regular basis. Others may chime in with additional tips, but I hope that gets you some success.

Re: Trying to create covert Facebook Account

Thank you for responding. I should have stated in my previous post that I did not use a VPN, I did use the mobile version of Facebook, I used a GMX email address, and I signed up as a 29 year old female (I'm really that smart - I'm in the middle of taking Michael's on-line training). I even attempted to create the account on different computers and had a co-worker attempt to create it for me. Nothing got around the requirement to provide a clear picture of my face. Does anyone else know of any work-a rounds?

i have the same problems, i used a 3g Stick to get variable ip adresses. Did not use a vpn, and tested different mail provider and different browser. All variations with the same result. Has anybody an idea?

Re: Trying to create covert Facebook Account

Also tried creating two new accounts in the past two weeks with no success. Out of nowhere, a profile I created in 2015 that was suspended in 2016 was suddenly reinstated last week.

Re: Trying to create covert Facebook Account

Do you mind my asking what kind of photo you provided? Did it have to be a full face, etc.?

Re: Trying to create covert Facebook Account

Why not just grab a random stock image off the internet?

Thanks for all the hints. I recently had two of my investigative accounts closed, and need to create new ones. The collective advice is very helpful.

Re: Trying to create covert Facebook Account

Use sudo phone number if you can. Yandexmail is not blocked, blur mails somtimes are. Put some pics on your fake profile, profile and background pics. like some random things like movies, and books and or music.

Also like some sites or groups, they will give your fake account some traffic so your profil will seem more real to facebook. Add some friends. Look for people with around 1000 friends on their list, as they are not picky on who they add. This way your account will seem real to facebook, and you have a bigger chance of keeping it for longer with out facebook blocking it.

David, I tried that. But I received a message that I had violated FB policy (Using another person's identity) and the account was immediately deactivated.

Re: Trying to create covert Facebook Account

Yea, I could not get past the picture requirement... anything "stock" is probably stored in a "google stock pictures" file at FB HQ.

Re: Trying to create covert Facebook Account

Having a similar problem with gmx email. In the middle of monitoring an event and I got FB message that I had to provide a phone number. Created another gmx.email and new profile twice, both times FB gave me the phone number error and suspended the account, the last time within a few minutes. Then gmx would not allow me to create any new email addresses. Anyone else having this particular issue? Am wondering why it kept catching me so quickly.

Re: Trying to create covert Facebook Account

Possibility Facebook may be catching you so quickly could be due to the fact that Facebook has hired 3000 people to spend time reviewing / monitoring videos.

https://www.bloomberg.com/news/articles/2017-05-03/facebook-hiring-3-000-people-to-monitor-live-video-for-violence

While most have to do with violence, suicide, murder, etc., I'm guessing there are many available to search for false identities.

Re: Trying to create covert Facebook Account

It was a very specific two day event monitoring so just wanted to have the covert facebook for that time period then dump/burn it. I had done the same thing on previous occasions with no issues and was just wondering if anyone else was having an issue with using the gmx email address. Thanks for the info Frank Lee and Andy F1. C

Re: Trying to create covert Facebook Account

I've had success using mail.com free email addresses. There are lots of domains on the drop down when registering. FB hasn't asked for phone numbers etc to verify the account and was setup via a vpn. But this seems to be hit and miss, I can't pretend to know what it's looking for on each occasion.

Re: Trying to create covert Facebook Account

I've had varied success with FB accounts, it's seems the algorithm is all over the place. Just recently I had somewhat success with adding a few people, FB thought I should add, the next day I had about 20 plus adds from strangers which was fine as it seemed to help FB think I was "real".

Sometimes works -- use a made up gmail account and then when it asks to verify, I switched to a 10 min email account and it worked. However the second time I tried this; it did not - so like I said FB algorithm are all over the place.
