//////Mora. Glacial rift encounter
The snowdrifts begin to pick up, enshrouding you in a fog of flakes and wind that has you covering your eyes. Even as you change direction to protect your face, the whipped up snow makes it hard to see very far. A half-blind meandering takes you quite a distance before you decide it may be best to head home instead of enduring this.
Turning around, you see a figure. The details are initially difficult to distinguish, with the exception of two long horns that sweep back to a shared point. It is coming closer. Feminine, tired whispers echo into your mind, [say:Stay with me...] The demon continues to shamble in your direction, even as you ready yourself for a fight. Her wings stretch out like the branches of a willow--their tattered leather filaments hanging heavy on the limbs. You must doubt they can fly.
[say:You have nowhere left to go,] she whispers.
[Fight].tooltip="Sounds threatening to you." [Flee].tooltip="Sounds threatening to you!"
///Flee
You definitely have at least a camp to go to, so she's wrong, but you're not going to stay here and argue about it! [if (hasWings) {You flap your [wings] on instinct as you turn to rush away, [if (canFly) {pulling yourself up from the snow|doing little to help against the snow your [feet] sink into}]|You hurry yourself through the snow}], and outpace the shambling creature. She doesn't appear to give much effort to the chase; however, the icy wind wears on you, eventually bringing your escape to a stop. Something isn't sitting right.
[say:Nothing will change,] she whispers. The cold bites your [skinshort]. Pressing your escape, you soon find the ice breaking away beneath you, followed by a spout of water that mists you with slivers of frost, but you avoid falling into the depths. [say:You should be grateful.]
You twist to see the raised weeping willow wings framing the emaciated monster. Somehow, she has kept up with you, or perhaps you've gone in a circle. {fight}
////Repeat encounter
Whipped up snow obscures your vision, compelling you to put a [hand] to your face to protect yourself. As you peer around, you see the silhouette of a willow in the distance. There's only ice and snow, you know that can't be a willow. {fight}
///Fight
You are fighting a [b:mora.]
This is a thin, bony demon with mottled ashen skin, [if (nofur) {sunken, pathetic eyes|a brow that swoops down her nose in a vaguely antelope or deer shape}], and dark hair parted by two horns that twist as the come together at their ends. Her \"wings\" hang tattered and limp from the bones like the branches of a willow, only serving to frame her feeble-looking form, and her tail is like a large feather that gently sweeps away her prints from the snow. Recessed eyes stare mournfully at you, but her stained claws ward against letting your guard down. She is garbed in a simple and cheap-looking linen dress that covers little.
//STATS
Low speed, low intelligence, low toughness, high HP, very high lust resistance. A little armor. Immune to bleed (unless ring of tearing).
Spends no fatigue to approach, but will stop trying if failed already. Does not try to add distance.
Using fear attacks (Terror) will not stun, instead dealing damage
She cannot dodge when her lust is above 50
She deals -(playerlust)% damage down to a minimum of dealing 25% of her damage and takes extra damage equal to her own lust.
//Attacks.
//Swipe. Melee only, can cause bleed and stacks Frostbite. Frostbite reduces toughness, speed, and strength. On Hard and higher, frostbite adds damage to the player each turn.
The mora swings her claws at you!
//Shroud. Ranged only, causes ranged attacks to miss much more for 1 + difficulty turns (2 on normal, 3 on hard,etc.)
She turns and sweeps her feather-like tail across the top of the snow, blowing up a snowdrift that obscures your vision! You can see fine up close, but ranged attacks won't be as easy.
//Despair. Melee or range, but cannot use if the player is flying. Reduces the player's stats to match hers. This effect is 10% less stat drain per difficulty level under Hard and +10 for each over. The effect is further reduced by lust, so that at 100 lust, the player is losing 0 stats from this (cannot gain stats). Reduces armor if armor is alive (Valeria, divine bark, tentacle bark, vines)
The mora leans back and wails! The ground quakes and ice encroaches up your body, biting into you like fangs. [say:You will be like me.] Weakness takes you, but you recover your composure and resume the fight.
//Mist. Melee, adds frostbite stack and deals a small amount of damage multiplied by the number of stacks
The mora pulls her arms in and raises her willow-like wings, shaking them and releasing a cloud of frigid frost.
//Surge. Ranged Mist.
The ice quakes beneath you, and the mora drops to all fours. She shrieks and then the snow around you gusts up fiercely, like countless tiny spikes!
///VICTORY!
[if (lust victory) {The mora drops to her side, panting and flushed|The mora goes quiet and collapses, unable to fight}]. Coming closer, you have the opportunity to examine her form. Though emaciated, she's clearly female. Her cloven hooves, clawed hands, and [if (nofur) {sunken eyes|antelope-like nose-bridge}] make her distinctly inhuman, and her horns, willow-branch-wings, and tail are demonic in nature. Despite all the signs, you could slake yourself on her body--one barely garbed in rags.
[Fuck] [Kill]
//LOOT. Ament is another word for catkin, a wind-pollinated cylindrical flower like those of a willow. Catkin would be confusing.
icicle
ament: "A helical strip of jerky that smells like Autumn." consumable, on use:
"The oddly spiral-shaped strip resembles jerky, but smells like an Autumn day in a forest. You bite into it, noting it is more tender than you expect from jerky, and its taste is strongly porky. As the food sinks in your gut, a sense of dread washes over you." Always adds corruption and removes a little satiety. Additionally, may do these things
/Decrease strength
/Decrease toughness and sensitivity
/Decrease lust and libido, and ends rut/heat
/Decrease speed
/Decrease thickness (a lot)
/Decrease tone (a little)
"Your body feels weak and unresponsive."
/If in combat, always decreases lust and cures bleed, in addition to whatever else is randomly rolled.
"You feel cold[if (is bleeding) { and your bleeding slows to a halt}].
/if hasbarkskin, willow wings. If dryad race, boosted chance at getting it. These wings cannot fly. Obsidian vines do not change it to wood wings.
[if (hasWings) {Your [wings] shake and bend alarmingly before bursting|Shivers run up and down your spine until you yelp in shock under the sensation of your back bursting forth}] into tresses of spiral-shaped leaves that hang from two drooping branches.
/no plant/wood skin, weeping wings. Cannot fly. Obsidian vines will transform them to willow wings.
[if (hasWings) {Your [wings] shake and bend alarmingly before splitting|hivers run up and down your spine until you yelp in shock under the sensation of your back bursting forth}] into twisted ribbons of flesh hanging from two drooping bony limbs like string curtains.
/Shed fur. There's some generic call for that text surely.
/Shed scales
/Remove chitin from arms/legs
/Revert single leg to human legs
/Revert gooskin to normal if not singleleg
/Revert drider body (lower chance)
/Turn skintone to ashen if normal skin
Numbness covers every last [if (metric) {centimeter|inch}] of your flesh for a moment. Looking yourself over, your skin is pale and dry, and taut on your body.
/antelope horns
Your [if (hasHorns) {[horns] twist painfully where they're rooted in your head before morphing|head aches and throbs as if struck heavy by a blunt object, only to be relieved of the pressure as two twisting horns begin growing}] into those of an antelope.
/If you have 2 or 4 legs, get cloven hooves (and taurs get antelope lower body of course). Doesn't happen if you have another kind of cloven hoof like goat or whatever.
Shock explodes up your [feet], knocking you over as they melt and re-split into cloven, antelope hooves[if (isTaur) {, and your lower body shudders and writhes. The mutation progresses up your legs and it feels like you're being crushed by an invisible force until at last it ends and you see your animal half is reshaped to match the race of your legs}].
///Kill. "It feels like mercy."
The monster lays limp and motionless, even as you prepare to execute her.
/axe,scythe,choppy weapon
Your [weapon] swings fast into the mora's neck.
/sword, spear, dagger
You twirl the handle in your grip, directing the point down, then thrust. As the [weapon] sinks into her heart, the mora makes no evident reaction, dying quietly.
/blunt
You heft your [weapon] up and slam it down onto the mora's head, ending her unceremoniously.
/ranged
You hold your [weapon] steady and release the shot directly into the mora's head.
/else
Holding her down beneath your [foot], you take a firm grip and twist the mora's head, breaking her neck.
